Historian David Alsobrook is the new director of the Clinton Presidential Library, opening Nov. 18 in Little Rock, Arkansas. His previous experience includes directorship of the George H. W. Bush Library in College Station, Texas and archivist at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library in Atlanta, Georgia. This photo shows him with a few boxes of the 80,000,000+ papers, 2,000,000+ photographs, 80,000 objects, and millions of emails that will fill the library.

    Library of Alexandria unearthed (5/12/2004)

A Polish-Egyptian team of archaeologists has unearthed what is believed to be the site of the Library of Alexandria. Regarded by many as the birthplace of western science, it was destroyed by Julius Caesar when his armies took over the city.

Copyright and the Public Domain Enhancement Act (5/04/2004)

Stanford law professor Lawrence Lessig loves copyright, but he also thinks it should end after 50 years. Here's are some good reasons why.
