I am a librarian at Cal Poly Pomona. I have an M.S. in library and information science and an M.A. in English.
This weblog reflects my interests

Jim Foley, a computer science professor at Georgia Tech, compared the grades of students who had access to his lectures via podcast vs. students who only heard him lecture in class. The podcast group scored about 10 percent better.
Web: Currently I am subscribed to 377 feeds via Google Reader. If it seems excessive, it's because I had recently imported the another librarian's blogroll, which doubled the number of my subscriptions! I'm de-duping and weeding slowly. Some of the feeds fit under the newspaper category below. I visit websites mostly via referrals.
Communication: I have 5 email accounts and subscribe to too many mailing lists. Messages that fit a certain profile get forwarded to my cell phone. I use AIM, Gtalk, ICQ, and Yahoo Messenger the same way I use phones. I logon to Myspace maybe once a week, rarely login to Orkut and Friendster, and just started testing Twitter. In general I haven't found social networking sites helpful, except maybe Flickr, which I use all the time. Most of my contacts still seem to prefer email.
TV: I watch one hour of TV a week. I watch Youtube and Google videoes when I hear about specific videos from other people.
Books: These days I read one book cover-to-cover every month. I skim about one book a week.
