Previously called the Information Communication and Technology Literacy Assessment, the 75-minute computer-based test has been renamed the iSkills test. Students are assessed on things like identifying bias in Web sites and explaining research findings.
According to John Sweller, originator of the Cognitive Load Theory at the University of New South Wales, students cannot retain more than 3 or 4 items of new information at a time. A good way to help students retain information is to hand out notes.
